I just came across a new marketing campaign that Michael Badger has put together, and I have to say it is one of the most innovative campaigns I have seen in a very long time. I have a feeling that this thing is going to take off and turn into a huge viral explosion - one that we will all remember for a long time!

What works about it is that there is a very compelling hook - he is offering to GIVE you a free monthly income with no buying, selling or recruiting. At first I thought that it was just another hyped up website, but after I read only a few lines of the copy on the main page, I realized that this one might actually be different.

Michael very quickly gets into the nuts and bolts of exactly how he is going to accomplish the task of giving so many people a monthly income. It is basically a profit sharing model. He is going to be launching a new membership site offering small business owners and marketers a service in a few months. It is from that service that he will allocate funds to be divided among a pool of people. All you have to do to be part of the pool is sign up now to receive his newsletter and announcements about the upcoming service.

And that's it - you just sign up and you will receive part of his profits.

It's a pretty cool idea really. In essence what he has done is taken the portion of his budget that would have gone into advertising and put it into getting the word out about his service in a big way.

It's an interesting campaign that you may as well sign up for - it's free after all. Or, just take a look for the innovative marketing idea Michael has put together.

A love story

Here is a story I want to share to all. Pardon my grammar and sentence structure.

This is a story told, by the way, by a teacher in school about a few years ago. This may or may not be true but there are a lot of things to learn and ponder about. I forgot about the names of the characters so I’ll just name them as father, elder brother, younger brother.

I’ll make this very long story short. So here goes….

There was once 2 brothers who lived far away from the city. These two brothers were inseparable. They were from a family of farmers whose income always depend on the harvest of crops. They were poor and could only afford to eat twice in a day.

The elder brother was a loving and compassionate one while the younger brother was a naughty and happy-go lucky type. One time, the younger brother stole some money from the father’s wallet. The father, upon knowing that he lost some money, summoned his two sons for questioning since there were no other people in the house. He let them kneel before him.

“Who stole money from my wallet?!” asked the father. He was met only with silence.

The elder brother knew it was his younger brother who took it.

“Who stole the money?!” the father asked again in a much louder voice.

“If none of you two will admit then I’ll punish both of you!”

The elder brother, without thinking twice, told the father that he took it. The father, upon hearing this, took the elder brother away and spanked him with a bamboo stick.

When the father was done, the younger brother went to the elder brother and asked

“Why did you do that? Why did you tell father it was you when it was I who stole the money?!”

The elder brother said, “It doesn’t matter now as long as you are okay.”

With this said, the younger brother was very touched and vowed not to do anything like it again.

A few years passed and now the younger brother went to school while the elder brother helped with the farm. It hasn’t rained for weeks and the crops are dying.

The father, knowing that soon he will have no more money to support the younger brother’s schooling, asked the elder brother to look for a job in the city.

The elder brother agreed and went into the city to look for a job. A few days later the elder brother got a job as a janitor and he was happy.

“Now my brother can continue his schooling” the elder brother said.

He worked and worked and sent money to his family until the day the company did not approve for the renewal of his job contract.

The elder brother was devastated. “I have to get another job” he thought.

And the elder brother went in on some jobs to which he can stay only for a few months.

While walking home, he saw an ad posted on the walls. He read the ad and took it with him.

“I’m going to get this job. With this, my family would never go hungry again!” he thought to himself while hurriedly walking home.

The next day he went to the address as stated in the ad. He got the job and was very happy at the same time very sad.

He wrote a letter to his family upon arriving home that day.

Father and brother,

...

This will be the last time I’m going send money to you so please spend the money wisely!

P.S. You won’t ever hear from me again so don’t look for me.

Elder Brother

A few days later, Father got a check with a very huge amount. He was dancing with joy and hurriedly went to his younger son.

“With this money, we will never go hungry again!” the father told the younger brother.

The younger brother was very happy to know the news. He hurriedly opened the letter that came along with the check and read it with father. After reading, the younger brother was very disturbed about what the elder brother said on the letter.

“Last time…..won’t ever hear from me again….” He thought. “What does he mean by this?”

“He couldn’t have….” the younger brother thought.

“Father, let’s go meet brother right now. I have a bad feeling about this.” the younger brother said.

“But, son, he said so in his letter that we shouldn’t look for him.”

“Father, don’t you think his message is very disturbing?! He said about won’t ever hearing from him again. I’m worried.” said the younger brother.

“Alright, we’ll pay him a visit then. Let’s find this company he’s working for.” said the father.

And so they went to the city and asked for directions to the company. When they reached their destination, they feel their heart beat faster and they don’t know why.

They asked the guard they saw at the entrance of the building if he knows of an employee named after elder brother.

“I do not know any person by that name, sir. Maybe you could check with the human resources department” said the guard.

So they went to the human resources department and asked. They were told to go to the Research and Development section of the university.

As they approached the room, they couldn’t help feel their heart beat faster than ever before.

Father knocked on the door.

“Come in!” a person said from inside.

Father went in first then younger brother

“Hi, do you know anyone by the name of this person?” asked father while showing elder brother’s name to the person sitting in the table.

“Yes, sir! How are you related to this person?” asked the man.

“I’m his father and this is his younger brother. We would like to talk to him please.” said father.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that sir.” said the man.

“Why not?” asked father.

“Because he’s already dead” said the man.

Father and younger brother was shocked to hear this from the man.

“What?!! How could you say that to my son?!” said the father angrily.

“I’ll hit you for saying that to my brother!” said the younger brother.

The man said nothing then stood up, went to the file drawer, searched for something and then took out a folder and then went back to his table.

“Here. Read this” said the man handing the folder to father.

As father opened the folder, he discovered it was a contract and in it was the signature of his son. He read the contract from the top. As he was nearing the middle, tears were flowing down his cheeks. He couldn’t help it.

Younger brother, seeing his father cry, asked “What’s wrong father? Don’t tell me…. “ tears were filling his eyes and he couldn’t stop. He started to cry too.

“I’m very sorry. He signed this contract willingly and without regrets.” said the man

Elder brother sacrificed his own body for research and experiment and ended up dead. He did this for the sake of his younger brother and his father.
